Day at Mama's House

So a couple of weeks ago we went out to my mom's house to visit. My mom lives out in east texas in the sticks. Her brother in law and sister in law live right behind them. They have quite a bit of land and they have animals on their property. One of these animals happened to be goats. Matt really likes all kinds of animals and so my mom brought the goats back to her fence for matt to feed. He had such a great time feeding the animals. He loves going to mama's house. Actually he loves going to all of his mama's houses they all have their specialities.

My Basketball Court

So Theo was off this past week. Instead of taking the lazy route, as I would have. He decided to use his time to do something more constructive. In the front of our house we have a covered porch. Part of the porch is concrete however the other part was just dirt. When my dad lived in the house he used to have a really nice catcus garden. I am not one for plants and I could manage to kill even and ivy so we decided not to plant anything there. The patch of dirt has been a nuisance to us since the neighborhood cats think its their own personal kitty litter box. Matt also like to play in the dirt as any kid would. Well we finally decided to build a deck there. And by we I really mean Theo. Matt can now play basketball on the desk and he loves it. I don't think he misses the dirt at all.

Fishing at the Lake

So two weekends ago we decided to go down to my dad's house and spend the night out there to just hang out and go fishing. We took my best friend Roxy and her husband with us as well. They had never been down there before and we thought it would be fun.

On Saturday night the guys, Mary and my little man all went out on the boat. Big Matt had all the luck and ended up catching a bunch of fish. I think he had a good time.

The next day we went over to The Shores where they have a bunch of little ponds and we tried out luck there. I didn't catch anything but everyone else did. Little Matt was so proud of the fish his dad caught. He didn't want to hold the fish but he would hold the lure that the fish was hooked on. My dad also caught two really nice size crappies.

Take a Picture of the Tree

So Sunday i decided I would take Matt to the park. Me and him had stayed home all weekend so I figured I would take him out and some fresh air. After playing for about 45 minutes I decided that it was time to go home. Matt was reluctant and on our way back to the car and he spotted a tree and decided he wanted me to take a picture of him and the tree. After taking a couple of shots of him and the tree he insisted that I take of picture of the tree all itself.

Best Friends

Ok so I have a friend named Roxy. Me and her have been friends since our 9th grade year in high school. It is really funny how we met because I actually had a class with her brother and in casual conversation we realized we lived near each other. He said that his sister had to walk to school and asked if I could give her a ride sometimes. We met and our friend began to grow. During our senior year her parents moved and no longer lived anywhere near the school. We decided that she would stay with me during the week so that she could finish up her final year. After graduating we remained friends. She also met Matt during this time as well. We all became friends and began to hang out. Now hear we are all these years later and we have been through many times good and bad. Isn't funny how things work out. My matt was due in Jan but decided he would come a couple of months early and ended up being born on Roxy's birthday and has the same first name as her husband. Kinda funny. Well anyways they were over to our house a couple of weekends ago and they are now planning for the arrival of their first child. She is due June 4. We are super excited although I think my matt may be a little jealous that his Matt and Roxy will have a little on of their own. For now he enjoys all the attention he gets from them.

It's been a while

Ok. so my postings are getting few and far between. It seems like lately I really don't have any extra time for anything. With me, theo and matt rotating shifts with illnesses that has taken alot of my time. Speaking of illnesses, my baby is sick again. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he has an infection in his right ear. I am so sick of antibotics. Anyways the rest of us are mostly doing well. I have also started taking ZUMBA classes. Which has taken alot of my extra time. This is a type of aerobic dance the use latin theme dances. It is lots of fun and most the time hardly even feels like a workout. Although I am dripping sweat by the end of it. They offer childcare so if i need to take matt I can. I hope to do better with my posting. I will add some more today as well and try to post at least once a week.
