Monday Night

So yesterday my sister in law picked Matt up from school and along with her kids and Linda and my two nephews decided to take the kids to McDonald's to play for a little while. After work i went to go pick Matt up. When we got home theo decided to finish mowing the back yard. Matt loves to go outside and desperately wanted to help his daddy mow the lawn. As he was finishing up his dinner he turned to me and said " I gotta go outside and fix the tractor so I can go real fast." We have a riding lawn mower but it is currently out of commission so he thinks he needs to fix it. I told him he needed to finish his dinner. After a few minutes longer he looks at me and says "I'll be right back, ok mommy? i gotta help daddy mow the grass." After a few minutes of standing at the back door and trying to go outside he finally snuck out while I was trying to clean the kitchen. He finally got his way and went to help his daddy mow. I hope he is this enthusiatic about mowing when he is old enough to do it by himself.

No Pictures

So I love taking pictures and I almost always have my camera with me but this weekend I decided to take a trip down to Brownsboro, TX to visit with my mom. They just bought a house out there and they were have a cookout on Sunday afternoon. Since it is about 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive i decided to go down on saturday night and spend the night. So i packed up my things and headed out. i got about 30 miles from the house when i realized i didn't have my camera. Oh well it was too late to turn around now.

Anyways I got to my mom's house and they were super excited to see Matt and a little excited to see me. Since my mom lives so far away she only gets to see Matt about once every couple of months and she lives with her mother n law (Norma) who only gets to see Matt about twice a year. They recently purchase a little 3 bedroom frame house which is pretty nice. It is out in the middle of nowhere so it is quiet except for the birds.

On sunday my grandparents came out as well to have lunch with us. We sat outside on their back porch which was really nice. Matt noticed they had a riding lawn mower and wanted to ride it. My mom told him it was broke and he turned to my step dad Marty and said " you gonna fix the tractor." he thinks that all riding lawn mowers are tractors. Anyways we enjoyed our time there and I would like to do it again sometime soon.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to....well me. So yesterday was my birthday. We had plans to go to dinner with my dad and Mary last night so after work we headed over there. My coworkers brought cupcakes for me for my birthday and most of them were left over so i decided to take them over there as well. Anyways Matt saw the cupcakes and was so excited. At first he kept telling me we were going to sing happy birthday to papa. My dad kept asking if Matt was going to sing to me. Matt would just keep going back to the cupcakes adn when were we going to have cupcakes. It is amazing how much kids love cupcakes. Matt is also learning his color so now when he wants something he will sometimes refer to it by it color. He kept saying he wanted a red one, and then a yellow one heck he just wanted any one.

Matt's Babies

So Matt has a really bad habit of sucking on the tags of stuffed animals. He never really sucked on a pacifier but for some reason he loves sucking on the tags. So anyways we went to my mother in laws a few weeks back and she gave him some stuffed animals that Elena, my neice, had won. Since then he has adopted them as his favorite. They go in the car with us and in the house with us and if I leave them in either place he will cry for his scobby doo. He sometimes will take his Mickey Mouse to daycare with him. Thanks for the animals Elena.

Labor Day Swimming Fun

On Monday we decided to go for one last swim before getting ready to go home. All the kids had tons of fun and even the big kids had a blast.
My niece Madison. She is always smiling but man she can get an attitude

Theo doing a back flip into the Pool.

Matt doesn't want to be left out so he decides to jump in as well.

Labor Day Weekend Continued

After fishing for a while on the boat we decided to let the kids go swimming for a little while. Matt loves swimming in the lake and it made him feel like a big boy to be swimming with his older cousins.

After swimming for a while all the kids decided to lay on the front of the boat. They were supposed to be drying off but instead i think they were playing in the water.
After we got back from the boat ride we all decided to hang out and relax. As you can tell the girls were much more excited about taking their picture than the boys were.

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend we decided to spend the long weekend down at the Lake with my dad and family. My oldest brother and his wife and kids were also there. We went out there saturday afternoon and just enjoyed the evening. My sister n law and me decided we would take the kids for a late afternoon swim and let them burn off some energy.

When we got back to the house on Saturday night we were all sitting under my dad's carport and this vicious little yellow jacket decided to sting me. Normally I would not care but last year I learned that I am allergic to them. Needless to say the sting itself was very painful but the aftermath was even worse. For two days my arms was swollen and red and burning and nothing really helped the pain. It is Wednesday and it still itches quite a bit. Those little suckers are very aggressive.

Anways Saturday morning we decided to take the kids out on the boat to fish and little and to let them swim around.

Last Week

As many of you know I work for a trucking Company (FFE Transportation). Well last week was National Driver Appreciation Week and since my location is the main terminal for our company it is an understatement to say I have been busy the last couple of weeks.

Everyday last week the company provided lunch for the drivers as well as gave away prizes. This is an annual event but my department played a very active role in it. Anyways we had a lot of fun but I am so glad it is over.

During our Driver Appreciation Week we had our resident spokesperson or as we call her "The Voice of FFE", Natalie Tidwell present. She is a rising country star and she joined our festivities and even provided some good entertainment. If you are interested in learning more about her you can check her out at www.natalietidwell.com

Sorry about the recent lack in posting hopefully it will get better. I have more to post tomorrow. So check back.
