Christmas X 1
This year we started our Christmas celebration at my brother-n-laws house in Arlington. We had lots of good food and lots of gifts for the kids. We generally celebrate on Christmas Eve with Theo's family and my family so we have to juggle our schedule so that we can make it to each house in time. We decided to pass out all the gifts first and then let the kids open them one by one. This worked so much better and it was a lot cleaner as well. All the kids loved their gifts and the bigger kids loved their money. We stayed over there for about 4 hours before going to our next stop at my grandma's house. Matt of course was excited because he wanted to open more presents.

Matt's Christmas Program
Last Monday Matt's Daycare put on a Christmas Program. For the past two weeks we had been practicing Christmas songs. Matt really likes to sing Jingle Bells but he really doesn't know all of the words so he just sings the parts he knows and he just keeps repeating them. Matt, Jacob and Marissa all performed in the play and they all did a good job. Thanks to Mama and Papa for coming out to watch.
Christmas Play
On Sunday Dec 21 my little nephews were in a Christmas Play at their church. They did the story of Jesus. Both boys did a really great job and Matt really enjoyed cheering for them. And he did a really good job being quiet as well.
Matt's School Christmas Party
So Friday Dec 19 was Matt's Christmas Party at school. I had a half day of vacation left so i decided to take the morning off and go to his party. They all go down to the cafeteria and sit in a big circle and they are supposed to exchange their books. Most of the kids didn't understand this though and were very upset that they had to give their book to someone else. After the party we went back to their classroom to wait for lunch. Man those kids were wild. I really admire those teachers because I am not sure I could do it.

Say Cheese
So the other day me and matt were sitting at the house and he found a pair of binoculars that his dad gave him. He decided that he would put on his daddy's boot and walk around the house. He thought that his binoculars were a camera so he kept telling me "say cheese mommy" and he would pretend like he was taking my picture while I was taking his picture.

Thanksgiving 2008
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at my brother n laws house in Arlington. Him and his wife Amie just bought a new house there and we were pleased to be invited. Matt really liked the house too because you could run around through all the rooms plus there were so many new things to look at. Also the kids liked picking up the pecans from the pecan tree in front of their house. We had a great time there and the food was delicious. Thanks Amie everything was great.
