My Birthday

So after my mommy and daddy took me to the zoo I went home for a nap. When I woke up from my nap it was time for my present and cake. I got a mickey mouse book and a toy for my mickey mouse clubhouse. I also got a cake which me and my daddy ate. I also got to take a picture with my finished Mickey Mouse pinata.

So a couple of weeks ago I decided that I would attempt to take some fall/outdoor pictures of matt for his 3rd birthday. I mentioned this idea to my boss who is a really good photographer and she said she would take some if I wanted. I decided to take her up on her offer. So two saturdays ago i met up with her at the park in Waxahachie to take some pictures of my baby. Below are just a few of the shots that she took.

My first Trip to the Fort Worth Zoo

So last Friday was my birthday and mommy and daddy decided to take the day off and spend it with me at the Fort Worth Zoo. I was so excited. I wanted to see the zebras, lions, monkeys, sea lions and Shamu. Mom informed me that there would not be any sea lions and definately no Shamu at the zoo. I went to Sea World earlier this year and I remember them very well. Anways I got to the zoo about 1:00 o'clock and I couldn't wait to see all the animals. The first animal we saw was a monkey. I think mommy said it was a gorilla but it looked like monkey to me. They had all these metal animals you could sit with and take your picture with. I even let mommy and daddy take a few pictures with me. I got to see lots of animals and by the end of the day I was very tired and ready to go home. We left the zoo at 4:00 which is when they close. Before we even got out of the parking lot I was already a sleep. Here just a couple of the pictures I took and some of the animals I saw.

That was one big Monkey.

October 24, 2005

On this date 3 years ago I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy. Matthew's birth was anything but ordinary. It all started on Friday Oct 21 when Iwent to my doctor's office for a routine 7 month check up. After taking my vitals the nurse looked a little concerned and walked out of the office. A few minutes later my doctor came in and announced that they were going to be admitting me to the hospital and that I would probably be delivering my son within the week. By Monday things had progressed from bad to worse and they decided it was in my best interest to deliver the baby. I was only 27 weeks pregnant and this was my first child. I had developed an extreme and very severe case of preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is pregnancy induced high blood pressure and unfortunately the only way to cure it is to deliver the baby. So at 6:13 PM on October 24, 2005 my little bundle of joy was born. Despite his early arrival he came out crying and was very fiesty.

Now three years later I have one fiesty little three year old. He is always running around and talking non stop. I think that his fighting spirit is what got him to where he is today. He is truly my miracle baby.

Afternoon in the park

A couple of weeks ago I bought Matt a kite. Nothing fancy just your regular kite. I took it out to my moms a few weeks ago but it was just not windy enough to fly. Well on Sunday the wind was blowing pretty hard all day so I figured what a good day to take Matt out to fly the kite. We got in the car and drove about 5 miles up the road to a local soccer park. The park was empty and there was plenty of room without power lines and trees. Theo got the kite in the air and then handed it over to Matt.



After about 10 minutes he became bored with the whole thing so we decided to let him go and play at the playground for a little bit before coming home. It is amazing how happy a swing and some fresh air can make a kid.

Allan's Birthday Party

So Saturday was Allan's 3rd Birthday and Party. Matt was really excited to go and see Allan. So we packed up and headed for his house. Once we got there Matt really wanted to give Allan his gift but he was sleeping so Matt just gave the gift to his Aunt Helen. Then he realized that everyone was swimming and decided he wanted to go to.
Matt thinks he can swim by himself and he can as long as he has a personal flotation device like a life jacket or a floatable swimming suit.
After opening presents it was time for Ice Cream and Cake. I think Jacob really enjoyed his ice cream.

Then it was time for the pinata. Matt reallys love hitting the pinata but mostly he loves getting all the candy.

Hot Dog Hot Dog

So Matt is a huge fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It is a cartoon that comes on the Disney Channel. Growing up I was a huge fan of Mickey so I am glad to see the tradition continue. Anyways after Christmas I found this pair of Mickey Mouse ears on clearance at Walmart so I decided to buy them for Matt. They sing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song "Hot Dog" and it also has some games you can play like Mickey says and some other game. He loves to run around in them and sing the songs.
