Jacob's 4th Birthday

So June 18th my little nephew turned 4. Me and his mom are really close since both of our kids go to the same day care and her little girl is the same age as Matt. Anyways she invited us over for dinner and cake. Matt and Marissa get a little wild when they are together.

Linda also brought over my other two nephews so we had five kids all under the age of 7 there at once. Needless to say it was a little loud and the kids were a little crazy so we let them go outside for a while and run around.

After we ate dinner it was finally time for cake which we all enjoyed. Then it was time to go home to the peace and quit.

Accident Free Day

So as you all know we have been attempting to potty train Matt. So days are definately better than others. Yesterday was a Great day for Matt. He has been wearing underwear to school everyday and yesterday was his first day Accident Free. Yea for Matt. I hope this is just the first of many more accident free days.

Father's Day

So Sunday was Father's Day and of course we spent most of the day at Six Flags but afterwards we decided to go over to Linda and Mingo's to have dinner. Matt just loves his mama and papa and everyday when i pick him up from school he asked "we goin to papa's mommy?" So he is always excited to see them. David and Amie were there as well. We enjoyed some good food and even dessert. Matt like always was being the center of attention and running around like wild child. We went outside for a little bit and Matt was cheesin for the camera with his daddy and grandpa. Matt can always get a big smile out of his papa. Thanks for the food Linda and Happy Father's Day to all.

Six Flags

So yesterday my sister n law Helen called and invited us to go to Six Flags. We had been wanting to go and it was at just the right price FREE so we decided to go. Theo, myself and Matt went over to meet at Helen's house....she lives like 10 minutes from six flags. We all rode in full mexican style to go to six flag. Theo, myself, Matt, Helen, three of her kids Elena, Brandon, and Allan and my brother in laws two boys Aaron and Julius went. We got there about 10:30 and it was already getting hot. This was matt's first trip to Six Flags so i joined Helen and the little kids (Aaron, Julius, Matt and Allan) in Looney Tunes Land while the three big kids (Theo, Elena and Brandon) went to ride the big rides. I think the kids rode every ride there was in looney tunes land and after about an hour we were getting thristy...i mean it was probably like 150 degrees outside yesterday.

After getting drinks and cooling off for a bit we decided to go for a ride on the train that goes through the park. We all rode on the train as a group.

After getting off the train Helen took all the little kids back to her house and Me, Theo, Elena and Brandon stayed there to ride a few more rides.

The first ride we decided to ride was the new Tony Hawk ride. We waited in line for like two hours and then the ride was delayed and we were sitting in the sun and it was beating down on us. Six flags should definately invest in some more shade and fans and they should possibly consider using the ones they already have. Anyways so we waited in line forever and then the ride was like 2 seconds long. What a let down. Anways we rode a few more rides and the sun had really drained me so the other decided they would go and ride the Batman for our last ride of the day while I sat in one of the air conditioned Cafes. AWWWW Cool Air. Finally about 5 or so we were ready to go. Helen came back and picked us up and after returning to her house to get our car we decided to go to Linda and Mingo's for dinner. We had a really fun time and I think next year we will try to go more often. Thanks again Helen for the invite.

Potty Training

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I have just been too lazy :) Anyways we are still in the process of potty training matt. We have been trying for a while but up until recently he just wasn't interested at all. He was more interested in playing with the toilet and toilet paper. Anyways lately he has been getting better and he is so proud when he goes. The other day he was outside with theo and he had to go so he went in the dirt. Then he came running in the house saying " i potty mommy, i potty in dirt." He was soooo proud. Anyways this morning first thing we did was go to the potty. He still is a little shy sometime but if you just pour a little warm water on him the river starts flowing. He is wearing big boy underwear to school this week so we will see how that goes. That's all for now I will try to blog more often though.

Linda's Birthday

So this past weekend was my mother in laws birthday. My brother in law David had called us the day or so before to make plans to take her out to dinner on Saturday night. Well unfornately earlier this week our AC decided it needed a permenant vacation so we had been with out air for a few days. Luckily man dad is in the AC business....well kinda and so is Theo's cousin Fabian. They were both really great and came out right away to see what they could do to help so thankfully by about 5 Saturday we were back in business which was good since everyone was going to be meeting at my house before going to dinner.

We went to eat at a little mexican resturant in town which was pretty good but there was a little girls softball team sitting right behind us so it was very loud.

Matt and his cousin Allan they both really love their mama so if she is holding one then she has to hold the other as well.During dinner we tried to get a group photo. As you can see it is very difficult to get 14 people to all look in the same direction as the same time but most of us were looking.

Because it was so loud nobody really go to talk so we all decided to go back to my house and hang out for a little while.

The adults stayed in the house and chatted while the kids went to the back to play on the swing set. Well all the kids except Allan he is a little scared of our dog. Understandably so she is a little on the hyper side.

Memorial Day Weekend - Monday

I know this is a little late but better late than never. Let me just say I only have dial up internet at home so I usually only blog at work during my lunch hour...if i have time.

Anyways to finish off our memorial day weekend we decided to go swimming with my brother and his kids who came out to the lake sunday night.

His girls are very cute and his little boy is just as wild as mine.

Matt as usual was up to no good and decided he would come and poor water on me.

I guess all the water and the sun made my brother a little delirious because he thought it would be a good idea to pick up my sister in law on his shoulders and then jump into the pool. Good thing I had my camera there to capture the moment.

All in all we had a really good time. Everybody got a lot of sun and we caught a bunch of fish.
