Memorial Day - Sunday

On sunday morning we all got up and ate breakfast and I cooked for everyone not that there were that many. After we ate breakfast we decided to go fishing off the bank for a little while. While we were there Theo, Elena and Matt decided they would go for a swim.

After we went fishing on the bank we decided to go swimming in the pool for a little while. Matt decided that he liked swimming today and was a little more adventurous. He decided to go swimming on his own. At first he was swimming with a ring floatie and then said he didn't want it anymore and went swimming in his swim suit which is equipped with floaties to help him stay above the water.

Around 5 or so Linda, Mingo and Elena decided to go home and we all decided to go out on the boat for one last run. Did I mention Matt LOVES the boat.

Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday

So this past weekend was Memorial Day weekend and we decided to go out to Richland Chambers Lake with my Dad and my step mom (Mary). We went swimming at the clubhouse pool. Matt is usually a waterbug but was a little scared of getting in the water the first day. My in laws and my neice Elena also decided to come out and stay the night as well. We all went fishing that night and Mary caught the prize fish a hybrid. Although we all caught a few fish.






Matt is being his typical fisherman self. He loves to go out on the boat and he loves to go fishing.

Sunday - Church and Braums

So today me and Matt decided to go to Church. My older brother has been going to church for a while now and really enjoys the service and had invited us on many occassions to come. We are normally camping on the weekends so I usually decline the offer but this weekend we decided to join him.

After church I joined my brother and my sister n laws for pizza.

Last night we decided to go to Braums for dinner and ice cream or ica cream as Matt calls it. He not only enjoyed his strawberry shake he also enjoyed his cup of sherbert and my waffle cone twist. Needless to say after our trip he needed a bath before going to bed.

Saturday

So Saturday my sister in law Irene and her little girl Marissa decided to come over to the house. We had talked about taking the kids to the zoo but after deciding it was too hot we decided to go the the mall. I know you are all thinking are they crazy..taking two 2 years old to the mall. Well we are a little bit but they mostly behaved. We went decided to drive out to Grapevine Mills mall and spend the day. Above Matt and Marissa are getting ready for our trip.

While at the mall we let the kids go for a ride on Thomas the Train and they also got to stop by The Rainforest Cafe and take their picture with the frog and view their animated alligator.

Accident

So for anyone who knows Matt they know he is very accident prone so it was no big suprise to me when I got to daycare to pick him up after work on Friday that he had an accident report. Apparently he decided he wanted to be superman while playing outside on the playground and dive bombed off of the jungle gym. Unfortunately for him he can not fly and ended up bumping his head leaving him with a bruise and a little knot. Neither of which seemed to bother him that much.

After we got home from work/school on Friday matt decided he would play a friendly game of Peek a Boo. I can see that his earlier injury has not affected his energy in the least bit.

Mother's Day 2008

So yesterday was mother's day and we went over to Linda's (my mother in laws) for lunch. Everyone came over for food out on the grill which is always good. We also decided to get Linda a tree for Mother's day. We all played our part in picking out her gift. Theo decided to get her a tree for her front yard which is lacking in the shade department.

























As you can see we are all huddled around the corner of the house to try and get in the shade




I picked which tree to get, theo dug a whole and planted it for her and matt made sure it it had plenty of water. Did I mention that he loves the water.



After we ate and planted the tree we all hung around and enjoyed each other's company. It was a really nice day so we all stayed outside. All in all it was a really good Mother's Day.

Mother's Day Weekend

Well after many suggestions to create a blog I decided to final creat one. I did however steal Helen's link. I just wasn't feeling very creative and I figured it would be easy for everyone to remember.

Anyways this weekend was mother's day weekend and unlike most year's my husband (well sorta) decided he would participate in this holiday. I arrived at my mother in laws house on Friday to pick up my little boy. She had picked him and my neice and nephew up from day care that day. Theo was there and looked a little guilty I didn't know what to expect. He told me that he had gotten me a Mother's day present and he hoped i wouldn't be angry. I opened it. Yes I opened it early and to my suprise it was a brand new digital camera. Now for those of you who know me you know I love to take pictures. I had been looking at new cameras for a while but decided I didn't really need one since my worked most of the time. The camera he bought is really nice and has all these cool features some of which i am not sure how to use but i will figure it out.

He usually is not very good at these kind of things but this year he did great. I love him lots.
